Wedding Favorites

In the past four years, we’ve seen it all. Here are a few of our favorite wedding vendors — based on high quality, attentive service and ease of use. Of course, they also lend themselves well to great photography.

Chalk one up for tradition and formality. Our favorites have reasonable photography guidelines, good natural light and picturesque backdrops for formal pictures after the ceremony.

Outdoor ceremony/reception locations

Cut the travel time and do it all in one place - more time for pictures!

  • Hilltop Inn, Elmira Owner Mike Sullivan will treat you like royalty at your outdoor ceremony high atop Jerusalem Hill, with the backdrop of the Chemung River snaking its way through downtown Elmira. Beautiful patio or banquet hall can accommodate your reception and great food is a guarantee.
  • Celebrations, Ithaca Have your ceremony outdoors under a gazebo while your guests are shielded from rain or shine on a covered patio. Lots of portrait opportunity in this simple but lovely setting. Then, head inside the banquet hall for your reception.

Reception sites

  • Esperanza Mansion, Branchport The complete package - begin your day getting ready in one of their elegant suites and return for cocktails on the patio overlooking Keuka Lake. Head into the banquet hall for an absolutely delightful dining experience. Heidi and Kathy will take care of everything.
  • The Radisson, Corning Very competent, always a good meal. I’ve heard from my brides their level of service is fantastic.
  • Corning County Club, Corning Very nice food, amazing photo opportunities indoors and out.
  • Heron Hill Winery, Keuka Lake A romantic and elegant setting under the big tent. Great opportunity for vineyard shots and beautiful view of the lake.

  • Bobby K, Horseheads Hands down, the most reliable DJ service around. No matter which DJ you get, you are assured professionalism and a personality that can keep the party rolling.

Videographers
